You’ll have the opportunity to dive on the rare elkhorn corals, which is like being among the last herd of white rhinos. You’ll experience our trademark “micro-diving” in which the wild world of the reef’s microscopic diversity becomes seen. And you’ll visit Tela Marine, Central America’s only free public aquarium.

A word of explanation to divers: This Caribbean reef really is different. Don’t expect a lot of big fish and 100 meter vistas in crystal blue water. While the months between March and August are generally great diving, visibility is never guaranteed. You’re really coming for the scientific and ecological value of the coral. So, if you like dives where you get to see a dozen endangered coral species at once and you’re blown away by the rich, vibrant life of the reef’s smaller animals, then you’ll have an unforgettable experience in Tela.
