Connecting Over Corals: Welcome, Chantal!

When I started scuba diving more than 20 years ago, I couldn’t get over the overwhelming beauty and life down there.  In those decades diving all over the world, I also clearly noticed the decline in biodiversity and surviving corals and the increase of algae and trash on our beloved reefs. Thoroughly studying the corals and coral reefs started my deepest love story ever: corals are truly the most fascinating animals on the planet to me.

With a corporate background in marketing, HR and entrepreneurship I figured I could use all these skills better in coral restoration and research than anywhere else. Through our work with Caribbean Reef Guardians on Roatan, I ran into Juli and Tiff in Tela. The Rebel Reef there is remarkable and gave me hope to keep moving on with our work.

Now I’m super honored and excited to have become part of the board of Tela Coral as well. We know we can come so much further together. I’m proud to be working with the power women Tiff and Juli, and I couldn’t wish for a better team!
